Digital inspection app for emergency lighting that complies with the ISSO-79 standard
About the project
Acidus specialises in emergency lighting systems and carries out tens of thousands of inspections annually at businesses and public spaces. Technicians had to check whether emergency lighting was functioning on location and record data. For a long time this was done on paper: handwritten forms that were later manually entered into the office system.
The result: Mastercheck, a Flutter app for iOS and Android that lets technicians digitally inventory emergency lighting units. The app works offline, performs real-time validation and automatically generates compliant reports in accordance with the ISSO-79 standard.

The challenge
Technicians noted inspection data on paper forms that were later manually entered into the office system. This was error-prone and labour-intensive. In addition, all reports had to be checked and compiled manually.
The approach
We built Mastercheck in Flutter so technicians can use both iOS and Android. The app works fully offline. Real-time validation ensures technicians immediately see whether data has been entered in compliance with the ISSO-79 standard. As soon as internet is available, everything synchronises with the backend. Automatic report generation saves dozens of hours per week.
Result
Mastercheck automates the inspection process from fieldwork to reporting. Technicians work more efficiently, there are fewer errors and clients receive their report faster.
