Flutter Web app and Angular CMS dashboard for digital lung audits in pig slaughterhouses
About the project
MSD Animal Health is part of Merck, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Through slaughterhouse research, MSD maps the spread of lung diseases such as pleuritis and mycoplasma. Veterinarians and auditors score the condition of lungs per pig on location at the slaughterhouse.
The Next App developed the SlaughterCheck: a Flutter app for offline use on location, connected to an Angular CMS dashboard where slaughterhouses are compared against each other and reports are generated automatically.
Features
Merck
MSD Animal Health is part of Merck, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world
Flutter Web
Built with Flutter for the browser, without requiring a native app installation
PDF & Excel
Automatic report generation and data export directly from the dashboard
The challenge
Slaughterhouse audits take place in an environment where an internet connection cannot be taken for granted. Auditors had to score multiple lung conditions per pig and record that data without errors for comparative research. Paper registration led to mistakes and delayed analysis.
The approach
We built a Flutter Web app for offline registration on location. Once online, the data synchronises with an Angular CMS dashboard. Results are available in real time and reports are generated automatically as PDF or Excel export.
Result
The solution we chose: a Flutter Web app for offline registration on location, synchronised with an Angular CMS dashboard.
