About the project

Flutter app for moving companies: from Xamarin to iOS and Android, from outsourcing to dedicated partner

Move4U was working with a foreign outsourcing party and was looking for a Dutch partner to take over their Xamarin app. The Next App convinced Move4U not to take over the app but to rebuild it completely in Flutter, for a stable and future-proof foundation.

The result is CrewPro: an app for iOS and Android that lets movers record the full inventory description digitally on location. Via packing lists and the Bingo Sheet, all items per room are registered and synchronised directly with the office.

Outsourcing abroad, looking for a Dutch partner

Move4U had a Xamarin app built by a foreign outsourcing party. The partnership was not going as desired and Move4U wanted to switch to a Dutch partner. Paperless working was the goal, but the existing technical foundation made that difficult.

The approach

Full rebuild in Flutter

We convinced Move4U to rebuild the app completely in Flutter rather than taking it over. The new codebase is stable, future-proof and delivers a native experience on both iOS and Android. Move4U has been a regular client ever since and we have built multiple apps for their platform.
