About the project
Accent Advies is an organisational consultancy that helps companies analyse and improve their work processes. The AccentPro app supports their researchers in conducting CTS and MMO labour studies: recording activities, interruptions and improvement suggestions during work observations in the field.
The previous supplier stopped building apps. The app was not yet working properly at that point and Accent Advies was looking for a party that could get the existing app working. We reviewed the codebase and quickly advised a complete rebuild: a repair project would take more time than a rebuild, without any guarantee of a stable end result.

The challenge
Accent Advies came to us with a concrete request: get the existing app working. The previous supplier had stopped building apps and the app was not yet functioning as intended. After analysing the codebase it quickly became clear that a repair project would take more time than initially thought, with no certainty about the end result. We advised Accent Advies to rebuild the app completely.
The approach
The Next App rebuilt the app completely in Flutter with BLoC/Cubit state management and a type-safe SQLite database via Drift. Forms are configured server-side via JSON definitions, so Accent Advies can adjust and deploy research variants without a new app version. A Chopper-based REST client with automatic token injection handles synchronisation when a connection is available.
Result
The rebuilt AccentPro app gives Accent Advies researchers a stable, offline-first tool for labour research in the field. Forms are adjustable without an app update and data synchronises automatically as soon as a connection is available.
