Our story
The Next App was founded by Berry Goudswaard, who has been active in software development since 2004. After more than a decade in the industry, he founded The Next App in 2016 with one clear focus: building high-quality apps and web applications for ambitious clients.
Everything we build, we build ourselves — no outsourcing, no freelancers. We work for companies of all sizes: from fast-growing start-ups to established organisations such as the Municipality of Rotterdam, KNVB and Quooker.

How we work
Everything is done by our own team in Rotterdam. We do not outsource work to external parties or foreign developers. You always know who is working on your project.
You have direct contact with the people building your app. No account managers, no intermediaries. Short lines mean fast decisions and less noise.
We take the time to do it right. That means solid architecture, readable code and apps that are still maintainable in five years.
We build all our apps in Flutter: one codebase for iOS, Android and web. This saves time, costs and maintenance, without compromising on quality or performance.
Our office is in the heart of Rotterdam. We love working with companies in the region, but also take on projects from further afield. Remote collaboration is something we handle equally well.
